Orbea is competition and Ordu is one of our flag bearers. It is the bicycle with which the triathlete Craig Alexander has won on two occasions in the Ironman of Hawaii and it is the weapon of Euskaltel-Euskadi in the time trial stages. Its perfect aerodynamics thanks to the work carried out in the Wind Tunnel of San Diego, its great combination of lightness and stiffness as well as its superb power transmission makes it the fastest bike in the time trials.
We continue moving forward to achieve the best results in the competition and increased user satisfaction. Orbea launches two levels of carbon in the fastest time trial bikes: Gold and Silver. While the first level is designed for top competition, the second is for those who want to make the first step into the world of triple discipline, both are created based on the latest technology optimized to the maximum in the wind tunnel in San Diego.
Designed for competition and professional use, because there is a faster bike to reach the finishing line. Fans of the competition know that victory in a triathlon or a time trial depends on a few seconds ... those Ordu will give you.
More aerodynamics does not mean fastest. If this were so we would be making paper thin frames, the problem is that they would not stand up to the great power of our riders. For that reason and because we are one step ahead, we have created the Ordu.
The search for better aerodynamics has a negative effect on the stiffness, which takes away capacity in the transmission of power. Similarly, building a frame with maximum stiffness penalizes aerodynamics. The conclusion is that we must find a balance. This is where we find Ordu. The development criterion of our bike has been to optimize stiffness and minimize the impact of the bicycle on cutting through the air.
The world's fastest bicycle is vouched for by the knowledge of the Engineering Department at Orbea which has developed the Orbea Ordu at the Mecca for speed: The San Diego Wind Tunnel. It has also been in accordance with UNE standard at our Quality Department.
The results speak for themselves: time trials won by Samuel Sánchez and the Euskaltel-Euskadi team, as well as international trophies won by our triathletes are its best testimonial.
