Power Cordz Mountain Bike Brake System

MTB Brake Cordz work with all major brands of brake levers and mtb V-brakes and mechanical disc brakes when used with our Windsor Clasp. Mtb Cordz work with all types of brake housing and, for those who use Nokon beaded type housing, we have a specially designed Nokon Liner for use with our Cordz.

- Now includes 6mm Windsor (patent pending) clasps to work with all major V-brakes and disc brakes (Shimano, Avid etc...) systems
- The World's lightest Brake Cordz receives our new "In-Line" fiber arrangement. This process reduces friction and increases cord life.

The Mountain Brake Cordz System integrates perfectly with existing brake systems with little to no modification using our proprietary Windsor brake clasp. We sweat the small details to include everything you need to upgrade your mountain bicycle properly. This system incorporates our proven Mountain Cordz with our lightweight, compressionless Kevlar lined housing and our own sealed, alloy ferrules that resist wear. Our premium housing is pre-lubed with special Teflon grease to withstand water and is formulated to stay put in the housing where it belongs. Our ferrules are made of alloy to prevent bending and housing deformation. They are lined to reduce friction and sealed to keep the grit out. These small details ensure your Cordz operate as desired for many years.

Power Cordz™ are for any bike meant to go fast and break records. Our synthetic fiber control cordz are designed to outperform steel cables in weight, accuracy and durability. In racing, efficiency is essential, each extra gram weighs against you. Power Cordz reduce cable weight by over 75% cutting approx 45-60g from your machine. Not bad considering theyre bicycle cables! Once set up Power Cordz do not stretch or require re-adjustment. Your bike will perform as expected time and again. Our synthetic fiber nylon coated cord material is not steel therefore will not rust or corrode. Go out and get dirty, they can handle it! Power Cordz™ utilize a synthetic fiber called Zylon HM or PBO. Its stronger than steel and twice as strong as Kevlar. PBO is a rigid-rod isotropic crystal polymer that has superior tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. Simply stated - Zylon is very stiff and strong, its superior cable material. A slick nylon protective coating encases around 10,000 PBO fibers. The cord is then bonded (using a top-secret patented process) to a high quality anodized anchor. The bond has a breaking strength of over 600lbs which is the same as steel at 25% the weight of steel.
